Dr. Mamoona Humayun is a Senior Lecturer in Computing at the University of Roehampton, London, with over a decade of international academic experience. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Smart and Connected Healthcare, and Disability-Focused Technologies, emphasizing ethical, inclusive, and secure AI applications.

Her research advances AI-driven solutions for societal challenges in digital health, AI ethics, privacy-preserving computation, and intelligent systems for accessibility. Recent work includes deep learning models for disease diagnosis (Alzheimer’s, autism, diabetic retinopathy, cardiovascular conditions), federated learning frameworks for breast cancer detection, and secure AI ecosystems for healthcare and IoT networks.
Dr. Humayun's publications have over 7,000 citations and a cumulative impact factor exceeding 300, including articles in IEEE Internet of Things Journal, Information Fusion, and Digital Health. Her research spans AI in education, healthcare diagnostics, and disability support technologies.
Since 2020, she has secured over 20 competitive grants as Principal Investigator or Co-PI from institutions like Jouf University, the King Salman Center for Disability Research, and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia. She collaborates with scholars across 20+ countries and contributes to curriculum development in AI and cybersecurity at Roehampton.
