Malcolm Ryan is an Associate Professor in the School of Computing at Macquarie University, affiliated with the Ethics and Agency Research Centre and the Performance and Expertise Research Centre. His research focuses on game design, virtual reality, and the intersection of morality with technology. He has led projects including Social Eye Gaze in Virtual Agents (2018–present) and Moral Video Games Collaboration (2024), and has been recognized with the Vice-Chancellor's Educational Leader Award 2023.
