Malaika Edwards, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the University of Houston’s Cullen College of Engineering, within the Department of Human Development and Consumer Sciences. Her research focuses on human resource development, organizational psychology, and adult learning, with particular attention to aging in the workplace and online learning dynamics. She holds a Ph.D. from Louisiana State University, an M.A. from Columbia University, and a B.S. from the University of the West Indies.

Her work explores employer expectations for learning experience designers, team engagement in executive programs, and the evolving role of older adults in workplaces. Dr. Edwards has published on topics ranging from instructional design to cross-cultural workforce analysis. She is affiliated with the Department of Human Development and Consumer Sciences and maintains an office in the Isabel C. Cameron Building.
