Dr. Mairo Leier is a Senior Research Fellow at Tallinn University of Technology's School of Information Technologies, Department of Computer Systems, where he leads the Internet of Things Development Centre. His career spans industry roles at Ericsson Estonia and Elisa Estonia, alongside academic positions since 2010. He holds a PhD in Computer Systems (2016) and MSc (2010) from Tallinn Tech.
Research interests center on embedded systems, IoT, and edge AI, with applications in smart infrastructure, autonomous vehicles, and biomedical sensing. Key focus areas include:
