Maiken Røed is a Research Fellow at the Department of Political Science, University of Oslo. She holds a PhD in Political Science from Lund University (2021). Her research focuses on political parties, interest groups, and legislative dynamics. She teaches courses including 'Norwegian Politics,' 'Digital Data in Political Science,' and 'The Politics of Organized Political Actors.'
Her work examines party-interest group relationships and parliamentary polarization. Notable articles include analyses of partisan hostility in Norwegian legislative debates and cross-national studies of trade union-party ties. She is affiliated with the Comparative Institutions and Regimes (CIR) research group.
Røed has contributed to the development of datasets on party-interest group interactions in contemporary democracies. Her research bridges comparative politics and institutional analysis, emphasizing how political actors shape policy processes.
