Maiken Bjerga Kiil is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Sociology and Human Geography, University of Oslo, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences. Her work focuses on labour geography, trade union movements, and climate policy intersections within the green economy transition.
- Education: Master in Human Geography (2016), Bachelor in Human Geography (2013), and Bachelor in Social Anthropology (2011) from the University of Oslo; Exchange student at Stellenbosch University (2010).
Research highlights include studies on migrant worker agency, union training dynamics, and oil politics in energy transitions. Publications span topics like spatiotemporal labour negotiations and collective action in healthcare sectors. Current projects include PHASE (energy transitions in the North Sea) and WAGE (work in green economies).
