Dr Mahmoud Abdelrahman is a Lecturer in Accounting at Bangor Business School, Bangor University. He holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance (2018–2023) alongside MSc (2017) and BSc (2011) degrees with Best Student Awards. His research focuses on financial reporting quality, international accounting standards, corporate governance, and corporate social responsibility.
Teaching roles include undergraduate modules like ASB-1120 (Principles of Financial Accounting) and postgraduate courses such as ABJ/ASB-4418 (Accounting Theory). He currently supervises two PhD candidates: Mr Mujahid Aljanabi and Mrs Nkiruka Arene.
Research outputs include peer-reviewed articles examining tax haven utilization by UK firms, with a focus on earnings management and classification shifting. Awards include Best Student Awards at both MSc and BSc levels. Professional recognition includes Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA, 2024).
