Mahima Yadav

Mahima Yadav is a Ph.D. student and Researcher at Ruhr University Bochum's Faculty of Mathematics, working under Prof. Dr. Patrick Henning in the Numerical Analysis of multiscale problems research group. Her academic journey includes an M.Sc. in Mathematics with Gold Medal distinction from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, and a B.Sc.(H) in Mathematics from Gargi College, University of Delhi.

Her research spans numerical and functional analysis with deep specialization in partial differential equations and nonlinear eigenvalue problems. Mahima's work focuses on developing and analyzing numerical methods for quantum mechanical systems, particularly Bose-Einstein condensates described by the Gross-Pitaevskii equation in rotating frames. Her methodological expertise includes finite element methods, Sobolev gradient flows, and Riemannian geometry approaches to computational mathematics.

Recent publication activity shows consistent output in top mathematics journals, with four significant co-authored papers in 2025 addressing convergence properties and computational techniques for quantum systems. These publications demonstrate both theoretical depth and practical computational applications.
