Magnus Norgren is a Professor at Mid Sweden University's Department of Engineering, Mathematics and Science Education (IMD) and leads the Surface and Colloid Engineering Research Group at FSCN Research Center. With a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Lund University (2001) and postdoctoral experience at Australian National University, his career bridges industrial experience at SCA with academic leadership at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Mid Sweden University.
His research focuses on biopolymer chemistry, cellulose materials engineering, and triboelectric energy systems, particularly for applications in sustainable forest bioeconomy. Recent publications highlight cellulose regeneration, lignin valorization, and water treatment technologies.
