Maggie Debelius serves as the Senior Director of Faculty Initiatives at the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS) and is a Professor in the English Department at Georgetown University. She holds a Ph.D. in English from Princeton University and an M.A. from Georgetown University.

Her work focuses on curriculum design, writing assessment, and faculty development across Georgetown University. She has published extensively on composition pedagogy, writing assessment, and Writing Centers, and teaches graduate and undergraduate courses on writing pedagogy and Victorian literature.
As co-author (with Susan Basalla) of So What Are You Going to Do with That?: Finding Careers Outside Academia (University of Chicago, 2007 and 2014), she contributes to graduate education discourse and frequently speaks on career pathways beyond academia.
