Magdalena Cybulska-Igras

Magdalena Cybulska-Igras was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics, AGH University of Science and Technology until 2024. Her expertise spans biomedical engineering, computer science, and electronics in medicine. She holds a PhD in Technical Sciences (Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering, 2017) and completed her specialist degree in Computer Science and Electronics in Medicine (2011).

Her research focuses on voice analysis, emotion detection, and paralinguistic aspects of speech. Recently, she investigated user experience in VR environments, human-robot interaction, and virtual human interfaces. Key projects include glossoVR (Lider grant, NCBiR) for public speaking training and a NCN-funded study on biometric analysis of speaker-audience dynamics in virtual environments.

Her work emphasizes applying VR and interactive technologies to education and social impact initiatives. Though no longer active at AGH as faculty, her contributions bridge engineering, psychology, and digital interaction design.
