Mafalda Moreira

Mafalda Moreira is a Lecturer at the Glasgow School of Art's School of Innovation and Technology, specializing in design education and innovation. She holds a PhD in Design Innovation and Education from Glasgow School of Art, an MSc in Innovation and Technological Entrepreneurship from Porto University's Engineering Faculty, and a degree in Interior Design from ESAD-Escola Superior de Artes e Design (Portugal).

Her research focuses on pedagogical methods for social design innovation that integrate interdisciplinary knowledge, emphasize visual and embodied learning, and explore positionality, collaborative creativity, applied ethics, indigenous knowledge, and social complexity. She has supervised PGR students and previously lectured at ESAD and Tias Nimbas Business School.
