Mads Schäfer Bak is a Research Fellow at the Department of Political Science, Aarhus University, focusing on inequality in the research ecosystem, systems thinking, structuralism, market economics, and sociology. He is associated with projects like the 2024 study on Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in research phases and collaborations on health innovation and SSH research commercialization.
His research explores how inequalities emerge and impact the research world, emphasizing non-elite actors and systems theory. Current projects include a background report for DFiR (Danish Center for Studies in Research and Research Policy) analyzing GenAI’s applications and risks across research phases, active from June 2024 to October 2024.
