Mads Peter Klindt is an Associate Professor at Aalborg University's Department of Politics and Society, affiliated with The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. He is part of the CARMA - Centre for Labour Market Research and Green Societies. His research focuses on the institutional interplay between employment regulation, social security, active labour market policy, and vocational education (flexicurity). Klindt holds a PhD (2010) and a cand.scient.adm (2004). He has served as a Board member for SOSU Ostjylland (2022–2024), Academic employee at Randers Centralsygehus (2004–2005), and in military service (1996–1998).
His expertise spans Work and Labour Market Policy, Politics and Administration, Public Administration, Pedagogics, and Economics. Key research areas include boundary spanning across employment systems, just transition in renewable energy sectors, and wage earners' perceptions of security. He has led and participated in 12 projects, including studies on wind energy's socio-economic impacts and Danish employment policy reforms.
Klindt has received Teacher of the Year awards in 2012, 2019, and 2021. His recent publications (2024) address VEU system challenges, boundary spanning in public management, and Denmark's labour market security. He frequently engages in media commentary and policy consultations, emphasizing practical applications of his research.
