Madhavi Jha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani-Hyderabad Campus, and a Senior Guest Researcher at the Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies (BCDSS). Her research focuses on labour history, gender studies, and social inequality in South Asia, with a specialization in colonial India.
