Madhavi Dandu, MD, MPH, is a Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. She specializes in global health education, curriculum development, and mentorship, with a focus on ethics, cultural humility, and health equity. She directs the University of California Global Health Institute, a UC-wide initiative promoting global health research and collaboration. Previously, she led the Master of Science in Global Health program and the Global Health Pathway for the Internal Medicine Residency at UCSF.

Her research interests span global health equity, refugee health, pandemic response, and human rights. Recent work includes studies on maternal health in Malawi, climate change impacts on malnutrition, and stigma among HIV-positive youth in Thailand. Her scholarly contributions emphasize global health training, including innovative programs like the Global Health Bootcamp and ESIGHT (Ethics Simulation in Global Health Training).
