Dr. Madeline Dintzner serves as Professor and Associate Dean of Assessment and Accreditation at Chapman University's School of Pharmacy, Department of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, a position held since June 2020. Previously, she was Professor and Assistant Dean for Assessment and Accreditation at Western New England University's College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (2012-2020), and tenured Associate Professor/Department Chair at DePaul University's Chemistry Department (1998-2012).
Her education includes a BS in Chemistry with honors from College of the Holy Cross (1992) and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and Natural Products Synthesis from Syracuse University (1998), followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at The Scripps Research Institute.
Dr. Dintzner's research spans Organic, Medicinal, and Biochemistry with emphasis on environmentally friendly synthetic methodologies. She has transitioned to Chemistry Education and Pharmacy Education scholarship, focusing on programmatic assessment and innovative teaching techniques. Her work bridges laboratory science with clinical education frameworks, particularly in communication skill development for pharmacists.
Recent publications demonstrate a strategic shift toward pharmacy education research, exemplified by her 2024 study on feedback mechanisms in patient care simulations, reflecting her leadership in assessment-driven curriculum development.
