معرفی
Madeleine Oudin is an Associate Professor at the Tufts University School of Engineering, Department of Biomedical Engineering, where she leads an interdisciplinary research program focused on cancer biology, tumor microenvironment dynamics, and neurodevelopmental disorders like SCN8A encephalopathy. Her work bridges oncology and neuroscience, investigating how extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling, bioelectric signaling, and neuronal mimicry drive metastasis and drug resistance. She also serves as a member of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in both the Genetics, Molecular and Cellular Biology and Neuroscience Program.
- B.Sc., McGill University
- M.Sc. and Ph.D., King's College London
- Postdoctoral Fellowship, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at MIT
Her research spans cancer metastasis, epilepsy, and novel therapies using antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) and ion channel blockers. Recent publications highlight her work on TRPV1 signaling, ECM stiffness, and SCN8A variant function. She has received grants from NINDS, NIH, and MetaVivor, and her lab trains students and postdocs in biomedical engineering and cancer neuroscience. Collaborations with neurologists and cancer centers underscore her translational approach.
