Madeleine Ammar

Madeleine Ammar is a doctoral student at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in the Department of Human Behavior, Ecology and Culture. Her research focuses on applying theoretical frameworks from evolutionary genetics to develop mathematical and computational models of cultural evolution, aiming to understand how cultural traits adapt in human populations. Supervised by Dr. Anne Kandler and Dr. Laurel Fogarty, her work bridges molecular biology and evolutionary theory with cultural dynamics.
