Maddy Tarantelli is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Horn at the School of Music, University of Northern Iowa. They have performed extensively with orchestras like the Utah Symphony, Colorado Mahlerfest (since 2024), and Fountain City Brass Band, and co-founded the Trilogy Brass ensemble. Maddy revitalized the UNI Community Horn Choir, fostering inclusive participation across academic and community levels.

Tarantelli’s research and practice focus on brass pedagogy, orchestral performance, and community-driven music initiatives. Their collaborative projects span Midwest recitals and international engagements, including the International Women’s Brass Conferences and Lawrence Graduate Bayreuth Tuben Quintet.
Maddy received grants from the American Scandinavian Foundation and UMKC Women's Council for independent study in Norway. They have served on the board of directors for Audition Mode Horn Seminar (2017-2024) and taught at Interlochen Arts Camp (2015-2017). Current affiliations include the Coalition of Musicians for Ethical Change and active roles in brass ensembles.
