Madara Tirzīte is an Assistant Professor at Rīga Stradiņš University's Department of Internal Diseases and a practicing pulmonologist at Capital Clinic Riga and Riga East Clinical University Hospital. Her research focuses on clinical medicine, respiratory diseases, and AI-driven diagnostic tools, particularly for COPD and chronic cough management.
Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Good Health) and 4 (Quality Education). Key projects include CORSAI, which uses AI and Raman spectroscopy for COPD biomarker discovery, and the NEUROCOUGH Registry, a pan-European observational study on chronic cough.
