Mackenzie Tresnak

Mackenzie Tresnak, PsyD, LP is an Adjunct Professor at the Michigan School of Psychology (MSP), where she provides supervision in the PsyD program. Born and raised in Royal Oak, Michigan, she currently resides in Berkley with her husband and infant son. Her research interests focus on sexual health and psycho-oncology, while her clinical work emphasizes assessment and brief therapy. Tresnak finds teaching at MSP rewarding due to its strong student community-building ethos.

She transitioned to psychology after initially studying nursing, inspired by an introductory psychology course. Her advice to students underscores the importance of active engagement in academic programs: 'What and how much you choose to put into the program is what you will get out of it. Take advantage of this unique time to learn and grow.'
