Maciej Rakowski serves as a Professor at the University of Lodz within the Faculty of Law and Administration, specifically in the Department of Research on the Development of State and Law. He also conducts teaching activities at the Faculty of Management, delivering lectures, seminars, and exercises in both Polish and English.
His research focuses on historical and comparative analyses of political systems, with particular expertise in:

- Historical development of political systems in Italy, the Kingdom of Hawaii, and Fiume
