Maciej Kubala

Maciej Kubala is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Szczecin's Faculty of Law and Administration. He specializes in Roman law, Latin legal terminology, religious law, and human rights law. His research focuses on the influence of Roman legal concepts on modern civil and canon law procedures, particularly litis contestatio and the reception of Roman law in canon theology.

He holds a Ph.D. from the Pontificia Università della Santa Croce (Rome, 2013) and additional degrees in law, theology, and canon law. His teaching includes Roman law, religious law, human rights law, and all books of the Code of Canon Law. He supervises the student club ACTIO and part-time law studies.

Kubala actively participates in legal conferences and is a member of the Polish Society of Religious Law and the Association of Polish Canonists. His recent publications analyze legal aspects of conscientious objection, child rights, and comparative criminal procedures in canon and civil law systems.
