Macarena Beltran is a Lecturer at Northumbria University's Leadership and Human Resource Management Department. She also holds an external position at Coventry University starting December 2025. Her research focuses on circular economy frameworks, environmental sustainability, and renewable energy adoption, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals. She is the Principal Investigator (PI) of two active projects: 'Exploring pathways to accelerate solar rooftops adoption in Indonesia' (British Council-funded) and 'Water bonds to mitigate environmental risks' (ESRC-funded).
