Maarten Steinbuch is a Distinguished University Professor in Systems and Control and Chair of Control Systems Technology at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). His research focuses on automotive engineering, mechatronics, motion control, fusion plasma control, and robotics for precision surgery. He has held roles such as Scientific Director of the TU/e High Tech Systems Center (2014–2020) and Scientific Director of the Eindhoven Engine (since 2018).
Education: MSc and PhD from Delft University of Technology.
Research Interests: Design and control of motion systems, robotics, automotive powertrains, and fusion plasmas. Notable contributions include advanced motion control techniques, precision surgery robotics, and electric vehicle technologies.
