MUSA YILMAZ

Musa Yilmaz is a Lecturer at Gaziantep University's Naci Topçuoğlu Vocational School, Department of Machinery and Metal Technologies. He holds a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from Gaziantep University (2023), a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with thesis (2017), and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (2015), all from Gaziantep University.

His primary research interests include Additive Manufacturing, Production Technologies, Composite Materials, and Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Yilmaz has published numerous articles focusing on 3D printing technologies, polymer composites, metal matrix composites, and advanced manufacturing techniques. His recent work particularly emphasizes sustainable manufacturing, material recycling, and nano-reinforced composites.

His publication record shows a strong focus on practical applications of additive manufacturing, with significant contributions to understanding material behavior, process optimization, and composite material development. His research spans from fundamental material properties to industrial applications, with particular emphasis on PLA-based materials, metal composites, and high-performance polymers like PEI/ULTEM.

Dr. Yilmaz has supervised two master's theses in 2025 and has been actively involved in 12 research projects, primarily as a researcher but also as a principal investigator for some projects. His work demonstrates a consistent trajectory of increasing responsibility in research projects, with his most recent project (2024-2025) as principal investigator focusing on sustainable 3D printing using recycled polymer materials.

He has also contributed to two patents related to welding systems and composite materials. His teaching responsibilities include courses on Manufacturing Methods, Material Inspection, Plastic and Composite Materials, and Industrial Design, reflecting his expertise in both traditional and advanced manufacturing technologies.
