Mert Can Erdoğan serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at Kırıkkale University's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, a position he has held since 2023 following completion of his doctorate. His academic specialization focuses exclusively on the Modern History of the USA.
