MELANIE CLEMENT-FONTAINE

Mélanie Clément-Fontaine is a Professor of Private Law at the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ), Faculty of Law and Political Science. She serves as Director of the Business Law and New Technologies Laboratory (DANTE) since 2015 and leads the Digital Law Department at Paris-Saclay University since 2018. She has directed the Master 2 Intellectual Property and Digital Business Law program since 2016.

Her research focuses on the intersection of intellectual property law, digital law, and emerging technologies. Key themes include artificial intelligence regulation, data governance, common goods, free software, and community-based legal frameworks.

She contributes to academic governance as a member of the Paris-Saclay SHS Department office since 2015 and the Program Committee of the DATAIA Institute. She has served as ANR and ANRT (Cifre) expert since 2014.
