Prof. Dr. Mehmet AK is a Professor at the Department of Turkish and Social Sciences Education, Faculty of Education, Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University. Specializing in Ottoman History and the cultural history of nomadic groups like the Yoruks/Turkmens, he holds a PhD in History from Akdeniz University (2012). His academic roles include Director of the Research and Application Center (2021), Department Head (2017–2020), and Vocational School Director (2016–2020).

Advocacy & Media: Regular contributor to TRT Antalya Radio’s Yörüklerin Dünyası series (2021–2022), discussing Yörük culture, traditions, and historical issues. Keynote speaker at national and international conferences on nomadic studies, including the 1st National Yoruk Turkmen Workshop (2016).
