MARIA JOSE GARCIA TARRAGO

Maria Jose Garcia Tarrago serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the Higher Polytechnic School of the University of Burgos, actively contributing to the CIMa (Ciencia e Ingeniería de Materiales) research group focused on materials science and engineering.

Education:

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Navarra (2007), with doctoral thesis "Modelling dynamic stiffness of carbon-black rubber bushings including frequency and amplitude dependence" supervised by Dr. Jordi Vinolas Prat and Dr. Leif Kari.

Research Focus: Her work investigates dynamic material properties in automotive contexts, specializing in frequency- and amplitude-dependent behavior of rubber components. Key areas include vibration analysis of elastomeric bushings, nonlinear material characterization, and computational modeling for noise/vibration reduction in vehicle systems.

Research Environment: As part of CIMa, she collaborates within a multidisciplinary materials engineering team addressing industrial applications through experimental and computational approaches to material behavior under dynamic loads.
