MARIA ISABEL MENENDEZ MENENDEZ

María Isabel Menéndez Menéndez is a Professor at the University of Burgos, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and Communication and the Department of History, Geography, and Communication. She is an active member of the research group SYCON (Society and Conflict: Cultural Studies of Violence(es)) and previously collaborated with CAYPAT (Communication, Public Dissemination, and Publicity of Cultural Heritage). Her PhD, earned from the National University of Distance Education (UNED) in 2010, focused on Imágenes de las mujeres en los medios de comunicación: las revistas femeninas como escenarios de la corporeidad (1976-2006), supervised by Dr. Amelia Valcárcel.

Her research explores interdisciplinary themes including:
