MARIA DE AFRICA MARTINEZ POVEDA

María de Africa Martínez Poveda is an Associate Professor at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, affiliated with the Department of Agro-Environmental Economics. She serves as Deputy Director of the Department and Director of Mobility within the Vice Rectorate for Internationalization and Cooperation. Her teaching spans multiple programs, including Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Agricultural Engineering, Agroecology, Viticulture/Enology, and Secondary Education Teacher Training.

She specializes in economic and policy dimensions of biotechnology, environmental science, and agro-food systems, with a focus on marketing strategies, rural development, and sustainable practices. Research activities include contributions to agro-environmental and rural economy studies.
