Dr. Mahmut Nefise is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Theology, Gaziantep University, specializing in Islamic Philosophy and Religious Sciences. She teaches courses on Islamic theology, history of philosophy, and ethics.

- Master’s (2003) - Faculty of Dar al-Ulum, Cairo University
- Licence (1995) - Sam University, Syria
Her research focuses on the intersection of Greek philosophy and Islamic thought, the evolution of Kalam, and ethical frameworks in Islamic texts. She has published extensively on the influence of Western philosophy on Islamic scholars like Muhammad Iqbal.
Her recent publications explore themes such as science-religion dialogue, predestination in modern Kalam, and Islamic perspectives on religious pluralism. She contributes to international scientific books and journals, often writing in Arabic and Turkish.
Dr. Nefise supervises graduate theses on topics like Islamic theology, Sufism, and comparative religious studies, with completions in 2023-2024.
