M.Fatih BAY

Dr. M.Fatih BAY is the Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Antalya Bilim University. He earned a B.Sc. in Physics (2004) from Kocaeli University, an M.Sc. in Physics (2008) from Middle East Technical University (METU), and a Ph.D. in Physics (2012) from the University of Bern, Switzerland. His academic career spans roles at institutions including ETH Zurich, METU, the University of Bern, and the University of Amsterdam.

Dr. Bay specializes in experimental particle physics, with a focus on neutrino physics and detector technologies. His work includes contributions to major international experiments like OPERA, T2K, MicroBooNE, and DUNE, particularly in designing detector systems such as emulsion detectors, iron-plastic scintillator calorimeters, and liquid argon time projection chambers. His research aims to unravel the mystery of matter-antimatter asymmetry through neutrino oscillations.
