Matthijs Katz is a Researcher at the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis, where he focuses on macroeconomic theory, monetary economics, and fiscal policy. He is also a PhD candidate at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Economics and Business.
Research Interests:
- Macroeconomic policy frameworks
- Monetary and fiscal policy interactions
- Macro-financial linkages
- Open economy dynamics
Recent Publications examine bank resolution mechanisms, financial frictions, and macroeconomic stabilization tools, with a focus on systemic risk and policy effectiveness.
