M. Todd Walter is a Professor in the Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University's College of Engineering. His work bridges hydrology, ecology, and biogeochemistry, with a focus on multidisciplinary research and the application of nano-biotechnology to ecohydrological systems.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Biosystems Engineering from Washington State University (1995)
- MEng in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University (1991)
- B.S. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Cornell University (1990)

- Hydrology and biogeochemical hotspots
- Nano-biotechnology applications in ecohydrology
