M. Mehrali is an Assistant Professor in the Thermal Engineering Group at the University of Twente, leading the Smart Thermal Energy Materials (SMARTTEM) Research Group. His research focuses on sustainable energy solutions through advanced materials science, including thermochemical materials, eco-friendly cooling, and thermal management systems. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Malaya (2012–2015), where he studied graphene materials for energy storage under Prof. Metselaar.
