Professor M. Ece Dilege is a faculty member at the General Surgery Department of Koç University Hospital since 2018. She specializes in breast surgery with clinical interests in breast cancer treatment, high-risk patients, and oncoplastic breast surgery. Previously, she served as a Breast Surgeon at the American Hospital (2013–present), Deputy Chief at Bakırköy Sadi Konuk Teaching and Research Hospital (2010–2013), and Chief Assistant at Şişli Etfal Teaching and Research Hospital (2003–2010). Her training includes internships at MD Anderson Cancer Center, UCLA, and institutions in Europe.
- Education: Medical degree from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine (1996), General Surgery Residency at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (1996–2002).
Her research and clinical work focus on surgical oncology, particularly breast cancer management and genetic risk assessment. She has earned certifications from the Turkish Surgical Association and the European Board of Surgery (FEBS title, 2012).
