Gábor Lövei is a Senior Scientist at Aarhus University (Denmark) and holds the Minjiang Distinguished Professor title at Fujian Agricultural & Forestry University (China). He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and has held honorary professorships at institutions in Hungary, Kenya, and China. His research focuses on environmental risk assessment, agroecology, urban ecology, ecosystem services, conservation biology, and invasion ecology.
Key career positions include Senior Scientist roles at the Danish Institute of Agricultural Sciences (1998–2007) and the Plant Protection Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (1978–1989). He has conducted research in New Zealand, Italy, and Kenya, alongside visiting roles at Fudan University and Rockefeller Foundation’s Bellagio Center.
