Lynette Louise Sharp Penya is a Professor and Department Chair of Communication and Sociology at Abilene Christian University. She earned her PhD in Communication from the University of Kansas (1996) and a BA in Communication from ACU (1991). Her career spans over two decades, focusing on gender roles in religious contexts, crisis communication, and persuasion theory.
