Dr. Lydia V. Luncz is a Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany. Since May 2020, she has headed the Lise Meitner Group 'Technological Primates,' focusing on the intersection of primatology and archaeology to study the evolution of technology in humans, early hominins, and non-human primates.
- Research Interests: Cultural evolution, primate tool use, archaeological methods, comparative studies of chimpanzees, capuchin monkeys, and macaques.
