Luyi Gui

Luyi Gui is an Associate Professor in the Department of Operations and Decision Technologies at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine. She holds a PhD in Operations Research from Georgia Institute of Technology (2013) and a BS in Mathematics from Zhejiang University. Her research focuses on applying optimization and game theory to sustainable operations, environmental policies, and supply chain collaboration. She has received multiple awards for her work, including the 2019 Paul Kleindorfer Award in Sustainability and early-career recognitions from INFORMS. She has served as President of the Sustainable Operations College at POMS (2019–2020) and organized conferences on sustainable operations and closed-loop supply chains.

Her research interests span sustainable operations, environmental policy economics, and network economics. She contributes to journals like Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and Production and Operations Management. She is also an Associate Director of the Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Optimization Center at UCI.
