معرفی
Luuk Croijmans is a Research Fellow in Agroecology at Wageningen University & Research. His work focuses on crop diversity's impact on pest management and biodiversity in agricultural systems. He completed his PhD at Wageningen University in 2024, supervised by Professors Marcel Dicke and Esther Poelman.
Research Interests:
- Crop diversification strategies to enhance natural pest control
- Biodiversity conservation in agroecosystems
- Interactions between plants, herbivores, and parasitoids
Key Research Trends: Recent studies explore how diversified cropping systems improve pest mortality rates and yield stability while boosting beneficial insect populations. His work bridges fundamental ecological insights with practical agricultural management.
Projects:
- PI of ADOPT-IPM (2023–2025): Developing integrated pest management strategies via crop diversity
- PhD Project (2019–2024): Examined how crop diversity influences arthropod biodiversity and ecosystem services
Labs/Teams: Active member of the Agroecology Team, collaborating with researchers in pest biology, plant ecology, and sustainable agriculture.
