Lukáš Burget serves as an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Graphics and Multimedia (DCGM) within the Faculty of Information Technology at Brno University of Technology. He holds key roles including Principal Researcher of the Speech@FIT research group, member of the Master Study Programme Board for Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, and supervisor in the Doctoral Study Programme.
His research centers on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence with specialized expertise in Speech Recognition systems, Bayesian modeling techniques, and Pattern Recognition. As leader of the Speech Data Mining Research Group, he drives advancements in speech data analysis and recognition technologies while teaching foundational courses in AI and machine learning.
Dr. Burget's scientific contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards:
- Prize of BUT Rector - Silver Medal (2006)
- The Commemorative Medal of FIT BUT (The Silver Medal) (2019)
He actively supervises doctoral candidates and participates in research funding initiatives through his leadership in the Speech@FIT group. The research group maintains strong industry and academic collaborations focused on speech technology innovation.
