Professor Luke Steinke is an academic at the Lumpkin College of Business & Technology, Eastern Illinois University. With over 15 years of experience in education, training, and consulting, his work focuses on curriculum development, occupational analysis, and teacher training.
- Education: PhD in Workforce Education and Development (Southern Illinois University Carbondale, 2006), MS in Training, Development, and Performance Improvement (Northern Michigan University, 2002), BS in Industrial Technology (Northern Michigan University, 2000), and AAS from Moraine Park Technical College.
His research explores workplace-connected curriculum, mentoring instructors, and program quality assessment. Recent publications analyze pedagogical strategies like problem-based learning and factors in teacher retention. He teaches courses in training systems management, instructional systems design, and multimedia education.
Dr. Steinke has held editorial roles at the Journal of Technology Studies and leadership positions in the Association for Career and Technical Education. He has supervised 2 research outputs and currently instructs 7 graduate courses in organizational development and technology education.
