معرفی
Luke Remage–Healey is a Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His research focuses on behavioral physiology, particularly the non-traditional regulation of brain function and behavior by steroid hormones, using songbirds as a model system. He employs techniques such as in vivo microdialysis, electrophysiology, and neuropharmacology.
Education:
- Ph.D., Cornell University, 2006
- B.S., Tufts University, 2000
Research Interests: Investigating how neurosteroids influence neural circuits and social behaviors in songbirds. His work bridges organismal biology and neuroscience, emphasizing local steroid production within neural circuits and its acute behavioral effects. Songbirds serve as an ideal model due to their pronounced neurosteroid systems and accessible social behaviors.
Labs/Teams: Remage-Healey Lab (location: 525 Tobin, with a lab website linked).
