Prof. Dr. Lukas Radbruch is a Professor at the Department of Palliative Medicine, University Hospital Bonn, affiliated with the Medical Faculty of the University of Bonn. He serves as President of the German Association for Palliative Medicine and the International Association of Hospice and Palliative Care. His research focuses on symptom assessment, opioid treatment, ethical issues in palliative care, and global health policy. He has authored key publications on redefining palliative care and its role during the COVID-19 pandemic.
