Luisanna Tremonti is a Contract Lecturer at the Department of Asian and North African Studies, Ca' Foscari University of Venice. She has been teaching written Italian to native and international students since 2008 across various departments including Philosophy, Letters, Cultural Heritage, and Humanities.
Her research focuses on Italian philology and linguistic thought, particularly the works of 19th-century intellectual Niccolò Tommaseo. She has produced critical editions and scholarly commentaries on Tommaseo’s writings, contributing to the understanding of Italian literary and linguistic history.
Her recent publications span from 2007 to 2020 and reflect a strong engagement with textual criticism, etymology, and historical semantics. These works demonstrate a consistent focus on the evolution of the Italian language and the role of key figures in shaping its intellectual traditions.

Luisanna Tremonti advises students during office hours in Palazzo Vendramin and is actively involved in language instruction and academic support. She has not been noted to supervise graduate students or lead research grants or teams.
