معرفی
Dr. Luis Vallejo Castro is a Research Fellow at the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Center of Excellence within the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Bangor University. His research focuses on cutting-edge optical and wireless communication systems, particularly in fiber-wireless convergence, millimeter-wave (mmWave) signal generation, and photonic technologies. He actively collaborates with institutions like the Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain) under projects such as NEWFOCUS, a European initiative advancing future-generation optical wireless communication technologies.
Key research interests include seamless integration of optical and wireless networks, dynamic sub-wavelength switching, and security mechanisms for mmWave systems. His work addresses challenges in next-generation networks, such as enhancing bandwidth, reducing latency, and ensuring robust security for 6G and Beyond 5G (B5G) systems. He has contributed to experimental demonstrations of full-duplex communications and full-duplex systems using free-running lasers and photonic techniques.
Dr. Vallejo Castro has organized and participated in international training schools and conferences, fostering collaboration across academia and industry. His recent work includes advancements in physical layer security using chaotic digital filters and the development of tunable photonic mmWave generation for flexible network infrastructures. He has secured funding through EU initiatives and maintains active research links with global partners.
